Bio
Milja Saarnio is a researcher at Tampere University. She coordinates the research project "National Assessment of Learning to Learn 2024". She is also a researcher and coordinator of student data collection in the TAR research project, which examines the use and targeting of special grant from the perspective of promoting equality and equity in education.
Milja graduated as a classroom teacher in summer 2020 and started her PhD studies in August 2021. In her dissertation, she investigates how teacher feedback should support the learning of students with different attitudes. She is also interested in primary schools more generally, in the transversal competences taught there, and in changing trends in learning outcomes nationwide.
