
Satu Koivuhovi is a PhD researcher at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Helsinki. In her research, she is interested in school choice and selective classes and aims to find out if studying in a selective class with a special emphasis has an effect on the development of pupil’s learning and motivation during comprehensive school years. She has a funded doctoral position in the SEDUCE-doctoral program at the University of Helsinki. Prior to her doctoral studies, Satu worked as a research assistant at the Centre for Educational Assessment (CEA) at the University of Helsinki. She is completing her dissertation using CEA data from the longitudinal learning-to-learn study.
